I wanted my headliner to read “I’m just a girl,” and my page to consist of picturesque aesthetics of life in my 30s, but let’s be real. There’s nothing aesthetically pleasing about my life. I’m Alexxis, but everyone calls me Lexx. I am a 31 year old single black woman, I have 5 kids, 2 baby daddies, and I live in the ghettos of Detroit, Michigan. Whew! That sounds like something straight out of an urban tale book by miss Antoinette. Funny how my life always seemed like something out of a movie. I want this page to be a representation of me. The real me, RAW. UNCUT. AUTHENTIC. And I assure you everything I post is real. 🤞🏾#transformation#blackgirllemon8#blacklemon8creator#momlife#detroitfood

... Read moreHey everyone, it's Lexx here – Alexxis, if we're getting formal! I'm so glad you're here to dive deeper into what my page is all about. You might know me as the 31-year-old Black woman from Detroit who's navigating life with five amazing kids and a journey that's anything but ordinary. I'm truly aiming to create a safe space here, a corner of the internet where we can all be real, share our stories, and uplift each other.
Living in Detroit has definitely shaped who I am and the stories I have to tell. It's a city with so much heart, resilience, and unique energy, and it's where my kids and I call home. My experiences here, from the everyday hustle to the unexpected moments, are a huge part of my narrative. When I say my life feels like something out of a movie, I mean it! But it's not always the glamorous Hollywood version; it's the raw, unedited director's cut.
Being a mom to five is a wild, beautiful, and sometimes chaotic ride. Every day brings new adventures, challenges, and incredible joy. From school runs and homework battles to celebrating milestones and navigating teenage years, there's never a dull moment. I’m open about the realities of my family life because I believe in showing the full picture – the triumphs, the struggles, and all the messy, beautiful bits in between. It's about being authentic and showing that it's okay to not have it all together all the time. This journey of motherhood, especially as a single Black woman, comes with its own unique set of circumstances, and I want to share that perspective honestly.
This platform is my way of being the 'Star of my own life,' taking control of my narrative and sharing it without filters. It's about empowering myself and, hopefully, inspiring others who might be on similar paths. My personal transformation isn't just about big, dramatic changes; it's in the daily grind, the small victories, and learning to love myself and my life exactly as it is. I want to highlight that journey of self-discovery and growth, showing how I find strength and beauty in my everyday reality. Whether it’s about motherhood, navigating relationships, personal growth, or just finding joy in the everyday, I promise to keep it 100% real. My goal is for this to be more than just a page; it's a community where we can connect, learn from each other, and embrace our own unique journeys. I was born in 1993, and every year has added new layers to my story, making me the Lexx you see today. So, welcome to my world – pull up a chair, and let's get real!
