THIS IS A REPSOT
Hey everyone! I'm so excited to share my latest piece of fanart – a drawing of none other than Suitcase from Inanimate Insanity. Honestly, when I first started watching object shows, I never thought I'd get so attached to a literal suitcase, but here we are! Suitcase is just such a wonderfully complex character, and she quickly became one of my absolute favorites. What I love most about Suitcase is her gentle nature and her journey of self-discovery. She's often seen as the peacekeeper, trying to mediate conflicts and bring people together, even when it puts her in a tough spot. Remember how she always tried to see the best in others, even when they were being... well, very inanimate insanity-like? It’s her kindness and empathy that really resonate with me. Plus, her development throughout the seasons, especially her struggles with self-worth and learning to stand up for herself, makes her incredibly relatable. It’s not often you see such deep character arcs in an object show, and Suitcase truly delivers. When I decided to do this random drawing of her, I really wanted to capture that essence. I focused on her iconic design: the sturdy brown exterior, that classic silver handle, and of course, her expressive 'face' which somehow conveys so much emotion. For fellow aspiring fan artists out there who want to draw characters like Suitcase, my best advice is to really study their expressions and body language (even for objects!). Think about their core personality traits and how you can visually represent them. For Suitcase, it was about her gentle eyes and slightly hesitant posture. I usually start with a basic sketch, focusing on her main shapes and proportions. Then I move into refining the lines, trying to give her a clean, 'asset-like' look while still adding my personal artistic flair. Choosing colors is important too; keeping her true to her original design but perhaps adding slight shading or highlights to make her pop. Don't be afraid to experiment with different poses that reflect her personality – maybe one where she’s carefully observing, or another where she’s showing a hint of determination. The Inanimate Insanity series itself offers so much inspiration. The creativity in designing everyday objects into compelling characters is just astounding. If you're looking for more fanart ideas, think about your favorite moments or interactions. What scene stuck with you? What emotion did it evoke? Trying to redraw those moments can be a fantastic way to practice and show your appreciation for the show. Suitcase, with all her endearing qualities, definitely provides endless opportunities for creative expression. I hope my drawing inspires you to pick up your own pen or tablet and create something too!
