Plant diary #8: Plant show✨
Glad to have to the plant show and found one wish light and the other to try it out. This year i have been more into silver leaf Hoyas lately.
Attending a plant show is always an exciting opportunity to connect with fellow plant lovers and discover unique plants that can add character to your collection. This year, I found myself particularly drawn to silver leaf Hoyas. These plants are not only visually striking with their silvery foliage but also quite resilient and easy to care for, making them great for both beginners and seasoned collectors. One standout species I encountered was the Hoya Lacunosa Mint, known for its speckled, minty green leaves and delicate fragrant flowers. It thrives in well-draining soil with moderate watering and indirect bright light. I found that giving these plants a bit of humidity helps them flourish, especially when the air is dry indoors. Another exciting find at the show was a couple of wish lights—small ornamental lighting that complements the natural beauty of plants and enhances indoor ambience in the evenings. Incorporating these lights around my plant displays has added a cozy and whimsical touch to my plant corner. For anyone interested in expanding their collection with Hoyas, I recommend starting with silver leaf varieties as they tend to be forgiving and visually appealing. Additionally, attending local plant shows can provide access to rare finds and foster community connections that enrich your growing experience. Don’t hesitate to chat with vendors and other attendees for tips and plant care advice—sometimes the best insights come from shared stories and hands-on experience. In summary, this plant show was more than just a shopping trip—it was an inspiring day filled with new discoveries and the joy of connecting with nature indoors. Whether you're a Hoya enthusiast or just starting your plant journey, exploring unique species and complementary decor like wish lights can truly elevate your indoor garden.
