What we got my 4 year old for her birthday! 🎂 💝

Yesterday was my oldest daughter’s birthday! 🥳 we had such a fun busy day I’ll be posting what we did for activities later! I wanted to share some of the things she got for presents. Her big gift was the Melissa and Doug ice cream truck because she was obsessed with the ice cream set they had. I actually found another ice cream set that matched the ice cream truck so I had to grab that! She is in her baby doll era so we got her some accessories for them. She also loves her new Stanley ! It’s a little smaller than the first one I got for her so I like that one better! So blessed that we can provide all of these things for her! #birthday #birthdayhaul #gifts #GiftIdeas #presents #giftsforkids #4 #momlife #happybirthday #toys

After celebrating my daughter's big 4th birthday, I wanted to share a deeper dive into why we chose what we did and give you even more ideas that hit all the right notes for this age. The Melissa & Doug ice cream truck, for instance, wasn't just a random pick. She's absolutely captivated by imaginative play, and this toy lets her run her own little business, serving up fun. It's amazing for developing social skills and creativity. We even added the Melissa & Doug 'Wooden Frozen Treats' set, which perfectly complements it – endless hours of 'scooping' and 'serving'! And let's talk about the 'baby doll era'! It's such a sweet stage where they love to nurture and care. The 'Mine to Love Carrier Play Set' and the 'Mine to Love diaper bag set' were perfect for this. They really encourage empathy and role-playing, letting her be a little mommy. Sometimes, it's the smaller accessories that spark the biggest adventures! Beyond the big items, I always look for toys that encourage creativity and sensory exploration. We also found the Play-Doh Kitchen Creations 'Drizzy' ice cream playset. It’s fantastic for fine motor skills and letting her imagination run wild with different 'flavors' and toppings. For something a bit different, the Melissa & Doug 'Love Your Look' makeup kit is a huge hit for pretend dress-up, without any real mess! It’s all about fostering that imaginative spark. Role-playing is huge at four, and toys that support this are always winners. The Melissa & Doug 'Boo Boos & Bandages' reusable play set is wonderful for teaching empathy and basic caregiving in a playful way. And for quiet time, a fun book like 'No One Likes a Fart' adds humor and encourages a love of reading. It’s all about finding things that support their growing independence and curiosity, both through active play and moments of calm. Finally, on a more practical note, her new smaller Stanley Quencher H2.0 FlowState Tumbler has been a game-changer. It’s durable, keeps drinks cold, and fits perfectly in her little hands, encouraging her to stay hydrated throughout the day. When considering gifts for a 4-year-old girl, think about what will last, what they can grow with, and what sparks their imagination. Every child is different, but focusing on open-ended play, creativity, and development usually leads to winning gifts that bring joy for months to come!
