AMEN 🩷
In my personal journey, I've found that not all challenges or disturbances merit a response. The reminder from James 4:7, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you," truly resonates with me. Often, we get caught up in anger or comparison, which can cloud our judgment and disrupt our peace. Choosing to submit these feelings to God has helped me slowly break free from old, harmful habits. It's empowering to realize that resistance doesn't come from sheer willpower alone but from a deeper faith that helps us navigate temptation and negative emotions. When faced with moments of anger or comparison, I pause to remind myself that these feelings don't need to control my actions. Instead, I turn to prayer and reflection, asking for strength and guidance. Belonging and temptation often intertwine, making it harder to resist negative influences. However, recognizing these moments and intentionally choosing God’s path allows me to feel supported and grounded. This practice has not only brought me inner peace but also strengthened my resilience. I encourage others experiencing similar struggles to embrace this approach—recognize when not everything knocking deserves an answer, and courageously submit those challenges to God. There's freedom in letting go and trusting a higher power to lead the way.
