Books That Caught My Eye at Barnes & Noble
I saw these books in Barnes & Noble that I haven’t seen that much on social media (except Manila Takes Manhattan and Honey & Spice).
I was so proud of myself for not stopping and buying any of these because I have SO MANY books on my shelves at home I need to read (and a bunch of loans on Libby). I am also currently on a book-buying ban for that reason, but I will continue to utilize my local library by loaning books on Libby.
Here’s the full list of books:

Okay, let's talk about 'A Killer Sundae' by Abby Collette! When I saw the cover – that cute white cat and the delicious-looking sundae – I was immediately drawn in. It's a mystery, and specifically, it feels like a cozy mystery, which is one of my absolute favorite genres. If you're like me and love a good whodunit without too much gore, cozy mysteries are perfect. They often feature amateur sleuths, charming small-town settings, and, in this case, a delicious food theme! The idea of a murder intertwined with an ice cream shop just sounds so unique and fun. I'm already picturing myself curled up with this one on a rainy afternoon. It's always such a thrill to discover books that aren't plastered all over my social media feeds. While 'Honey & Spice' and 'Manila Takes Manhattan' get a lot of love, finding something fresh like 'A Killer Sundae' or 'You've Been Served' (which also had that 'BUY 1, GET 1 50% OFF' sticker, by the way!) feels like a personal victory. 'You've Been Served' sounds like a great romance, and who doesn't love a good swoon-worthy story? My strategy these days, especially with my current book-buying ban, is all about maximizing my library loans. So, when I find a gem like 'A Killer Sundae' or 'Photo Finished' (another mystery that looked super intriguing with its film noir vibe from the cover), I immediately add it to my Libby wishlist. It's amazing how many new releases you can get through the library without spending a dime. It's truly a game-changer for avid readers. Beyond the mysteries, I also spotted some fantastic romances. 'Right on Cue' by Falon Ballard, 'Love at First Set' by Jennifer Dugan, and 'How to Plot a Payback' by Melissa Ferguson all caught my eye. Romances are fantastic for a quick, uplifting read, and it's great to see such diverse titles popping up. And 'The Best Life Book Club' by Sheila Roberts looked like a charming contemporary read, perfect for when you need something heartwarming. When you're browsing Barnes & Noble, don't just stick to the bestseller tables. Wander through the different sections, look at the endcaps, and pay attention to those intriguing covers. Sometimes the best discoveries are the ones you least expect, like a mystery featuring ice cream or a romance with a unique premise. My goal is always to find those less-talked-about books that deserve more attention. And remember, even if you can't buy them all, your local library is a treasure trove waiting to be explored!

“Honey and Spice” looks like such a good book and I want to read it!
