My review: So the first half was a bit slower than I’m used to, but I pushed through it. The smut scenes were to die for, most of them. Sometimes they got a bit annoying when the plot got REALLY good. The twist and endings? Holy f*ck it was amazing, the ending was absolutely perfect was not expecting it. While I’m a massive Haunting Adeline series fan, this was so polar to that series. Both characters were the actual enemies to lovers, trauma bonding, etc. They had massive character growth more than Adeline and Zade. While Enzo and Sawyer hated each other, their love grew more based on surviving and trauma bonding, learning about each other. Although if communication was a thing, it could’ve solved half the problems. The book was a bit long, it could’ve been crunched down a bit shorter, but the scenes where Enzo speaks Italian 🫠.
