What I’m grateful for this year…
i’ve had a very rough 2024, but i wanted to take a moment to look at the positives and all the good things that came out of this year
1) my daughter’s first birthday! and just watching her grow up this year. she started this year being a little cute blob that slept all the time to now being an energetic and sweet little girl who loves to run around and play outside🥹
2) my fiancé and i have grown so much closer. we got engaged about 2 years ago, but we only got engaged after 2 weeks of dating🫣 this past year we’ve grown even closer together as partners and grown in general as parents🫶🏼
3) we’re finally in a stable environment. i spent half of my pregnancy homeless and thought i was gonna have to put my daughter up for adoption. we had family in a different state offer to help us out tho and we lived with them until about halfway through this year. we weren’t expected to pay rent, but now we’ve been able to move out and start living as adults again❤️
Gratitude is a powerful emotion that can shift our focus from challenges to opportunities. Often, reflecting on what we’re grateful for can lead to improved mental health and resilience. Many people find that expressing gratitude regularly, whether through journaling or sharing with loved ones, can enhance their outlook on life. In your own reflections, consider the little moments that bring joy—such as a child's laugh or an engagement that deepens connection. Social support during tough times can also play a significant role in stabilizing life circumstances. Finding community support or family assistance, as shared in this article, can provide relief and promote healing. Engaging in gratitude practices not only fosters a positive mindset but also strengthens relationships. Connecting with others by sharing what you’re thankful for can inspire a ripple effect of positivity. Explore ways to cultivate gratitude in your daily routine and see how it impacts your life. An effective technique can be to pick a time each week to reflect on three good things that happened and why they occurred. This habit may lead to an appreciation for life's simple pleasures, ultimately enriching your journey.
