Road Trip to Milwaukee Pt 1.
I’d never been to Milwaukee before but being greeted by this view kinda made me fall in love with the city. 🫣
The high ceilings & windows felt so luxurious and the bookstore right next door was so cozy and magical. 📚
I loved the convenience of the mobile key code. I didn’t have to talk to a single person to get into my room. A plus for me anyways. 🌸 This was definitely one of the prettiest places I’ve stayed at before.
My stay at Kinn Guesthouse Downtown Milwaukee really set the tone for my road trip, proving this city is absolutely worth a visit! Beyond just a cozy hotel, Milwaukee, WI, surprised me with so much to explore. If you're planning your own road trip or just looking for fun things to do, here's what else made my trip memorable and why I'd recommend it. First off, for anyone wondering 'what is Milwaukee famous for?', you absolutely have to dive into its rich brewing history. Even if you're not a huge beer person, a tour of one of the historic breweries like MillerCoors offers a fascinating glimpse into the city's past. Plus, many of them offer tastings – a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring! Speaking of downtown Milwaukee, there's so much to do within walking distance or a short ride from a great hotel stay like mine. I loved strolling along the RiverWalk. It's such a vibrant area with public art, cafes, and shops. It’s perfect for a relaxing afternoon, and you can even hop on a boat tour if the weather's nice. The Milwaukee Art Museum, with its iconic 'wings' that open and close, is a must-see, not just for the art inside but for the incredible architecture itself. It's truly one of the prettiest sights in the city, especially by the lakefront. For foodies, Milwaukee's culinary scene is seriously underrated. From classic Wisconsin cheese curds (a must-try!) to fantastic farm-to-table restaurants and diverse ethnic eateries, there's something for every palate. I stumbled upon a few amazing local coffee shops that were perfect for starting my day. Don't miss out on trying some local brats or a fish fry if you're there on a Friday! If you're considering Milwaukee as a road trip destination, it’s incredibly accessible and makes for a fantastic weekend getaway or even a longer trip. There are plenty of parks and green spaces like Lake Park, offering stunning views of Lake Michigan – another one of those 'prettiest' spots! And for a unique experience, check out the Historic Third Ward. It’s packed with boutiques, art galleries, and some really cool loft apartments. It has a great vibe and is perfect for an afternoon of browsing. So, is Milwaukee worth visiting? Absolutely! My personal experience, from the moment I checked into my beautiful hotel stay to exploring the vibrant downtown and discovering its unique charm, made me a huge fan. It's a city that blends history, culture, and modern attractions seamlessly, offering plenty of fun things to do for any traveler. I'm already planning my next trip back to Milwaukee, WI, to discover even more hidden gems!
