After wrapping up our last epic quest, my friends and I were chatting about what to play next, and this one kept coming up. The promise of a truly 'wickedly whimsical' journey through the Feywild was just too good to pass up! From what I've seen, this campaign is a refreshing change of pace from your typical dungeon crawl. Instead of just fighting monsters, it really leans into role-playing, exploration, and creative problem-solving. This is perfect for our group, as we love getting into character and thinking outside the box. The whole vibe, from the glowing circus tents on the cover to the intriguing characters like the man in a top hat and a grinning jester-like creature, just screams enchantment and mystery. It feels like a storybook come to life, and I can't wait to see what magical mischief we get into! For anyone else thinking about diving into a new D&D campaign, especially one as unique as Witchlight, here are a few things I've found helpful for a smooth start. First, a 'session zero' is a game-changer. This is where everyone gets together, discusses character ideas, sets expectations for the campaign, and goes over any house rules. It helps ensure everyone is on the same page and excited about the direction of the story. For 'The Wild Beyond The Witchlight,' we specifically talked about embracing the whimsical nature and being open to non-combat solutions, which is a big part of this adventure. Character creation for this module has been particularly fun. We're encouraging characters with interesting quirks and backstories that tie into themes of lost things or past visits to a magical realm. It adds so much depth when your character feels personally connected to the world. We're also making sure to clarify roles – who's the primary storyteller (DM), and who are the adventurers? Having clear roles helps keep the game flowing. I'm personally looking forward to exploring the vibrant and often unpredictable Feywild. It’s a plane of existence where emotions can alter reality, and anything feels possible. The idea of encountering all sorts of fantastical creatures, from mischievous pixies to powerful archfey, really gets my imagination going. If you're looking for a D&D campaign that offers something truly different and embraces charm, wonder, and a touch of delightful weirdness, 'The Wild Beyond The Witchlight' seems like an excellent choice. I'll definitely be sharing updates as our adventure unfolds!

Got this one and love the idea using feywild. There is an old ravenlot adventure with a circus that I think could blend here.
