Since I'm receiving the feedback that I am.. I'm a disabled, single mom. I don't get child support. Whenever I was in need of any help before, I could turn to my folks, but I lost my Dad in Sept, and my Mom is Oct. I'm completely on my own. I need a new tire for my car. Actually, it's a used one in decent condition. I'm using the doughnut spare, but it's not in good shape either, and I'm being told it's not safe to drive. I have a lot of appointments to attend, and my 15 year old son does as well. We rely on the car a lot. We live in a town where most specialists are about an hour away. However, even going to the grocery store is a fairly substantial drive, especially with a bad/unsafe tire. $30 is the least expensive replacement I have been able to find, and they're going to help by putting it on, balancing etc at no charge. I just have to pay for the tire. Like so many others, money was extremely tight before, but with prices the way they are, I no longer even have a savings. I have tried several online ideas for extra funds, but most involve having to have money. I often spend hours after my children are in bed doing stupid surveys, just to get a little extra for things we need, or things they want to be able to participate in at school. I'd be so grateful for help, and I'm willing to show receipts or estimates, etc. You have no idea what it took to even get me to post something for the world to see that I needed help. I certainly wouldn't do it for something frivolous. It's difficult to admit to anyone that you need help, and I exhausted all ideas before I had the nerve to post asking strangers for help.
