Is IL MAKIAGE A Scam? HONEST REVIEW

🚨 WARNING: BEWARE OF IL MAKIAGE 🚨

***

I was honestly so excited to try this company’s products because from all of the online advertisements I had seen from this company, I truly thought that this makeup would make my skin look flawless. They promised to find the perfect color match for both foundation and concealer, just based off an AI-online quiz? It seemed too good to be true. And sadly, it was. But I was naive enough to fall for it.

**

I want to warn people about this company, especially the younger audience who are naive like me. It’s easy to fall into the trap when companies like these manipulate their audience so easily. I have learned not to trust most of the advertisements I see on TikTok and Instagram, since most of them are photoshopped/fake/and even contain bot comments claiming good reviews.

**

Don’t feel upset if this company fooled you. They have fooled a lot of people… including me!! Or, in contrast, if you genuinely love this foundation and concealer, just be aware of the toxic ingredients they contain and maybe reconsider using them.

Il Makiage is extremely expensive, and the formula is terrible. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. There are so many more affordable and safer options out there. Check out my Amazon Storefront for inspiration 🤍

... Read moreI was just like many of you, scrolling through social media, seeing those mesmerizing IL MAKIAGE ads promising flawless skin and a perfect foundation shade match. The idea of an AI quiz doing all the work to find my ideal color seemed revolutionary, and honestly, I was so excited to give it a try. But after my personal experience, I'm here to share the full, unvarnished truth, especially for anyone asking, 'Is IL MAKIAGE legit?' or 'Is IL MAKIAGE worth it?' First off, let's talk about the infamous AI shade matching. My experience with their foundation was far from the 'perfect color match' advertised. Despite taking the quiz carefully, the shade I received was off, leaving me with that dreaded obvious makeup line. For someone looking for a natural finish, this was a huge disappointment. And when you factor in the price – that foundation costs around $45, and the concealer about $31 – you expect absolute perfection. The 'thick, unblended texture' I encountered with both the foundation and concealer just didn't justify the high cost, making me seriously question the value. What truly shocked me, though, came when I started looking into the ingredients, especially after seeing so many discussions about 'Is IL MAKIAGE clean?' I used the Yuka app to scan some of their products, and the results were alarming. Their foundation, which I had such high hopes for, received a dismal '0/100 Bad' rating! Key hazardous ingredients flagged included Octocrylene and Octinoxate, known for potential health and environmental concerns. My concealer didn't fare much better, scoring '7/100 Bad' due to ingredients like BHT and Cyclopentasiloxane. It was incredibly disheartening to realize that not only was the product not performing as promised, but it also contained substances I'd prefer to avoid on my skin. It wasn't just the complexion products either. The liquid eyeliner, which I also briefly considered, had a '12/100 Bad' rating, highlighting ingredients like Black 2 [nano] and Phenoxyethanol. This pattern of low scores and hazardous ingredients across different products made me realize that the marketing hype, particularly the 'flawless' skin claims seen on TikTok and Instagram, really needs to be taken with a grain of salt. It's easy to get sucked into the illusion when advertisements are so perfectly crafted. So, for those asking 'Are IL MAKIAGE products good?' or looking for 'IL MAKIAGE negative reviews,' my honest answer is that for the price and the ingredient list, there are far better, safer, and more affordable options out there. My journey taught me to be much more critical of online beauty ads and to always check third-party ingredient analysis before committing to a purchase. Save your money, and prioritize products that truly nourish your skin without hidden nasties.

I really like their foundation. Not sure about the other products. I did try the green primer, and I liked it. It’s weightless, making the foundation go on smoothly. I only use 1 spritz, and it covers well, matches well.

im here to say… the color never matches, leaves a yellow finish, separates if you sweat a little, no coverage at all. everything they advertise is literally the opposite don’t fall for it
