... Read moreHey everyone! So many of you ask about my hair, and honestly, my 4C hair journey hasn't always been smooth sailing. I used to struggle with dryness, breakage, and just getting it to grow past a certain length. It felt like I needed ‘both’ – good products and a solid routine. But through a lot of trial and error, I've finally cracked the code to healthy, thriving 4C hair. Let me share some of my personal secrets and how I use my holy grail products! First up, wash day is sacred! I start with a gentle cleanse. That African black soap reviving shampoo with revitalizing tea tree, soothing turmeric, and black cumin seed? It's amazing for really getting my scalp clean without stripping it. After shampooing, deep conditioning is a MUST. I swear by my bond repair masque with amla oil to strengthen my strands and reduce breakage. And for that extra high-shine, a capillary restorer really makes a difference. I leave it on for at least 30 minutes, sometimes under a steamer for deeper penetration. Once rinsed, it’s all about moisture. My multi-use softening leave-in conditioner formulated with nourishing baobab oil, turnip root, and pro vitamin B5 is a game-changer. It detangles effortlessly and keeps my hair soft for days. Then, I seal that moisture in. I alternate between a multi-use pure oil blend and my 10-in-1 hair growth oil (the one made with organic oils including chebe powder and peppermint oil!). Peppermint oil gives that invigorating tingle my scalp loves, and chebe powder is known for length retention. I also use a hair fertilizer, containing herbal extract, peppermint oil, and lanolin, directly on my scalp to stimulate growth, especially in areas where I want more thickness or to promote growth and reduce breakage. Beyond products, consistency is key. I try to protective style often – braids, twists, buns – to minimize manipulation. Regular trims (even if it's just dusting the ends) help prevent split ends from traveling up the hair shaft. And don't forget about internal health! A balanced diet and plenty of water are just as important for hair growth. I've seen such a difference by combining these elements. It’s not just about having the products; it's about knowing how to use them together for maximum 'both' – both health and growth! This journey takes patience, but seeing my hair grow thicker and healthier makes it all worth it. I hope these insights help you on your own healthy hair journey. Remember, every strand tells a story!
