Appreciation post
Is it just me or does anyone else forget that they have certain piercings or tattoos?
When I first got my tooth gems I always felt them and now i completely forget I even have them.
My industrial is fully healed and now I forget I even have it unless it gets caught on my hair or I take a selfie, and the same thing goes for my eyebrow piercing and the tattoo behind my ear😭
Body art, including piercings and tattoos, often represent significant moments or interests in our lives. Over time, as we adapt to these changes, we may forget their presence. It's a common phenomenon as our bodies become a canvas for our memories and expressions. For many, piercings like industrial or eyebrow piercings are a part of personal identity, yet they can blend into the background of our everyday lives. Interestingly, this phenomenon isn't just about forgetfulness but also about the journey of self-expression. Each tattoo or piercing has a story, reminding us of who we are or who we were at a particular moment. Some may get misunderstood as tattoos fade or piercings close up, leaving behind only a memory of their existence. Moreover, the healing process of piercings can influence how we perceive them. Initially, they might feel prominent, but as they heal, their presence diminishes in our consciousness. This journey is relatable for anyone who has adorned their body with art, turning the act of self-expression into a backdrop of life. Ultimately, whether you have a tooth gem, a tattoo behind your ear, or any other body art, it’s a reflection of your unique journey. Embrace the memories they hold and cherish the stories behind them.
