My girl is the sweetest, most affectionate companion. She’s incredibly loyal, always wanting to be by my side, whether we’re lounging on the couch or out for a walk. American Bullies, in general, are known for being gentle giants, and my Lilac Merle is no exception. She's great with kids and other pets, always patient and eager to please. Their calm and confident nature makes them wonderful family additions, providing both protection and endless cuddles. Caring for a Lilac Merle Bully isn't much different from any other American Bully, but their unique coloring does come with a few considerations. The merle gene, while beautiful, does require responsible breeding practices to ensure healthy pups. It's always crucial to choose a reputable breeder who health tests their dogs to avoid potential issues related to the merle gene, such as hearing or vision impairments. In terms of daily care, they thrive on a good quality diet, regular exercise to keep them happy and fit – think daily walks and playtime, but be mindful of their brachycephalic (short-nosed) nature in hot weather – and consistent, positive reinforcement training.
