I’ve learned firsthand that safeguarding my mental health means setting firm boundaries, even with those closest to me. Sometimes, the hardest people to let go of are family members or long-time friends whose actions slowly chip away at your self-worth and peace of mind. Saying "Sácalos de tu vida & se LIBRE" (Take them out of your life & be FREE) resonates deeply because freedom comes from releasing what harms us. It took me a while to understand that choosing myself is not selfish but essential for emotional survival. When you prioritize your well-being, you create space for genuine love that uplifts rather than diminishes you. Love should never make you doubt your value or dim your light. Healing is a journey of learning to let go—of toxic relationships, past hurts, and the false guilt that keeps you holding on. I've found that each step toward emotional freedom strengthens my resilience and renews my joy. Embracing this mindset transformed how I engage with others and helped me build a supportive, loving circle where my mental health is honored. If you feel weighed down by relationships that destroy your peace, remember: releasing them is an act of courage and self-love. It might hurt initially, but it's necessary to reclaim your sacred space and live authentically. You deserve to be surrounded by those who nurture your well-being, and most importantly, to love yourself fiercely.
