Perdonar es un acto egoísta en realidad. Es para liberarnos a nosotros mismos de ese veneno. Suéltalo.
Forgiveness often carries a heavy stigma, as many believe it means excusing hurtful behavior or forgetting the pain caused by others. However, from my own experience, I've found that forgiveness is less about the other person and more about helping ourselves move forward. Holding onto grudges or anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to suffer. The truth is, it only weighs down our spirit. When I faced seemingly unforgivable acts in my life, the turning point came when I realized that forgiveness was a gift I gave to myself. Instead of seeking justice or revenge, which can be an endless cycle, I chose to release the venom of bitterness. This act of self-liberation opened up space for healing and inner peace that I hadn’t thought possible. Forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting what happened or allowing the hurt to continue. It means acknowledging the pain, learning from it, and consciously deciding not to let it control your emotions or future. This mindset shift can drastically change how we experience relationship struggles, trauma, or even daily conflicts. Sharing this personal insight hopes to encourage others who struggle with holding onto resentment. Letting go is not a sign of weakness but a powerful step toward reclaiming your emotional well-being. Ultimately, forgiveness is an ongoing journey of self-care and freedom from past burdens.
