Hey loves! So glad you're joining me on this Church GRWM journey. Beyond just the fun makeup and picking out a cute dress, there's so much more that goes into feeling truly ready and comfortable for Sunday service. I've learned a few things over the years that really make a difference, and I wanted to share them with you! First off, let's talk about the foundation of your outfit – and no, I don't just mean makeup primer! I'm talking about what you wear *underneath*. For me, comfort is absolutely non-negotiable. There's nothing worse than sitting through a sermon feeling constantly adjusted or uncomfortable because of ill-fitting undergarments. I always opt for seamless, breathable fabrics that provide good support without digging in. Think about how much movement you'll be doing – standing, sitting, perhaps even kneeling. Your foundational layers should allow for all of that without any fuss. For church, I also prioritize modesty, so I often choose pieces that help ensure my outer outfit sits just right, preventing any unwanted peek-throughs or wardrobe malfunctions. It's all about feeling confident and focused on the service, not on your clothes! Next, let's chat about outfit planning with comfort and practicality in mind. My Church GRWM usually starts with a quick peek at the weather forecast. Is it going to be chilly in the sanctuary? Will I be walking a lot? This helps me decide on layers. I absolutely love a good cardigan or a light blazer that I can easily take off if it gets warm. For shoes, while heels can be gorgeous, I often reach for stylish flats, block heels, or even dressy boots, especially if I know I'll be standing a lot or socialising afterwards. Comfort doesn’t mean sacrificing style! I also think about fabrics – breathable cottons, linens, or comfortable knits are my go-to. They look polished but feel amazing. Beyond the outfit, my 'getting ready' process also includes some quick pre-makeup skincare and hair prep. Before I even think about my makeup routine, I make sure my skin is cleansed, toned, and moisturized. A good base makes all the difference for how my makeup sits and lasts throughout the service. And for my hair, if I'm not doing a full style, I often opt for a protective style or a quick touch-up from the day before. Sometimes it's just a simple braid or a sleek bun. These little steps, though not always seen, contribute so much to feeling put-together and ready for worship. Ultimately, my Church GRWM is about more than just looking good; it's about feeling good, inside and out, so I can fully engage in the worship experience. I hope these extra tips help you feel even more prepared and beautiful for your own Sunday mornings!
