My Daughter's Easter Basket
I haven't posted in a while, but thought I'd share my 2 yr old daughter's Easter Basket.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!! He has risen!! ✝️
I didn't get my daughter a lot of things, just a little bit of candy and certain books she'll enjoy. Got her a book with a paint brush and all she'll have to do is dip the brush in water. Stuff that can help her with her fine/gross motor skills haha
Creating an Easter basket for a toddler can be a delightful opportunity to blend fun and educational play. When assembling gifts, I find it rewarding to focus on items that support developmental milestones. For example, including books that engage fine motor skills, like water paint activity books, not only entertain but also encourage hand-eye coordination and creativity in young children. Beyond traditional candy, I like to select toys that stimulate both fine and gross motor abilities. Simple puzzles, stacking blocks, or textured balls can keep toddlers engaged while helping them practice important developmental skills. Additionally, sensory toys with different fabrics or sounds can enhance their exploratory play. From a parenting perspective, it's important to balance the excitement of treats with activities that foster growth. This approach turns the Easter basket into more than just a gift collection—it becomes a tool for learning and bonding. For instance, sitting down with your child to explore the water paint book together can create meaningful interaction and joyful memories. Finally, integrating faith-based themes or messages, like celebrating Easter with a joyful 'He has risen!' spirit, adds a warm, meaningful layer to the holiday. It’s a beautiful way to share traditions and values with little ones while encouraging their curiosity and love for learning.
