SANA spa 🤍
During our stay at Etéreo, Auberge Collection we visited the award-winning SANA Spa, and it was by far the best spa experience I've ever had. Every part of the journey was thoughtfully designed around Mayan healing traditions, making it feel like so much more than just a massage.
Our experience began with a cleansing ritual that started in a calming steam room infused with soothing aromatherapy. I was then treated to a full-body clay mask followed by an invigorating ice and sugar exfoliating scrub. After rinsing everything away in the immersive sensory showers, I spent time unwinding in the sauna before experiencing a beautiful Mayan sound healing session. The guided breathing and calming vibrations helped quiet my mind in a way I haven't experienced before. I finished the ritual by relaxing in the cenote-inspired warm pool, leaving us feeling completely refreshed.
Before our treatment, my husband and I enjoyed the outdoor hydrotherapy circuit, including the hydrotherapy pool, cold plunge, hot tub, and refreshing beverages while taking in the peaceful surroundings.
We chose the 90-minute Deep Healing Massage, and it exceeded every expectation. The therapists were incredibly skilled, and we left feeling both deeply relaxed and completely re-energized. We ended up spending the rest of the day enjoying the spa's amenities because neither of us wanted the experience to end.
If you're staying at Etéreo, SANA Spa is an absolute must. It was one of the highlights of our entire trip and an experience we'll never forget. 🤍
Visiting SANA Spa at the Etéreo, Auberge Collection truly felt like stepping into a sanctuary designed to nurture both body and mind. One of the standout aspects of the spa is its deep respect for Mayan healing traditions, which are thoughtfully incorporated into every treatment. For example, the cleansing steam room infused with calming aromatherapy doesn’t just relax you physically, but also helps clear mental clutter, resetting your mood. I particularly appreciated the full-body clay mask and the ice and sugar exfoliating scrub, which left my skin feeling silky smooth and thoroughly revitalized. These treatments felt natural and gentle, connecting me more with the earth-inspired ingredients the spa uses. The sensory showers were almost therapeutic, awakening all my senses and preparing me for the next stages. The Mayan sound healing session was a beautiful experience that I hadn’t encountered before – the guided breathing combined with calming vibrations effectively quieted my racing thoughts, allowing me to be fully present and peaceful. This spotlight on mindfulness sets SANA Spa apart from typical spas. Hydrotherapy is another highlight. The outdoor circuit, including the cold plunge and hot tub, offers a refreshing contrast that stimulates circulation and energizes the body. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy relaxing moments before or after a massage. Choosing the 90-minute Deep Healing Massage was a fantastic decision. The therapists demonstrated impressive skill and attentiveness, tailoring pressure and technique to address areas of tension and promote deep relaxation. After my treatment, I craved nothing more than to linger within the spa’s serene atmosphere, soaking in warmth and calm. Overall, the blend of traditional Mayan elements with luxurious amenities makes SANA Spa an essential stop when visiting this region. It’s not just a spa visit but a holistic journey that rejuvenates your skin, body, and spirit – an experience that I’ll remember and recommend wholeheartedly for anyone seeking ultimate relaxation and healing.
