It was a delightful start, earning a solid 9/10 from me—simple yet so perfectly executed. For appetizers, the Toro Tacos were an absolute revelation. We ordered three, filled with tender meat and perfectly balanced toppings, and they immediately scored a 10/10. But the real showstopper was the bone marrow dish. Rich, decadent, and generously garnished with meat and fresh vegetables, it was another perfect 10/10. If you're adventurous and appreciate bold flavors, this is an absolute must-try. Moving onto the main courses, the Itzam Wagyu Burger was a fantastic choice. Cut in half, it revealed a perfectly juicy patty, fresh fillings, and was served alongside crispy potato wedges and ketchup. A definite 9/10 – a gourmet take on a classic that didn't disappoint. My dining companion opted for the perfectly cooked steak, which came sliced with a vibrant purple puree and roasted onions. It was exquisitely prepared, earning a 9.5/10. The side dishes, however, had a bit more variety in their ratings; the mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious (8.5/10), but the brussel sprouts, while good, perhaps weren't as outstanding as the other dishes (6/10). This is great practical info for someone choosing their meal! And you absolutely cannot leave without trying dessert. The churros were served beautifully in a bowl, wrapped in a cloth napkin, with two small cups of dipping sauces. They were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and just heavenly – a strong 9.5/10. It was the perfect sweet ending to an extraordinary meal. Overall, Itzam Restaurant offers a truly luxurious and memorable fine dining experience in Riviera Maya.
