I HAVE TO clean my kitchen before I walk out the door for a trip, yet I can walk out the door with dishes in the sink if I’m just going out for the day. I guess in my mind, I have enough to deal with with putting away luggage, etc, when I get back from a trip, then to have to deal with dishes too 🤪 Truth time: 2 trips ago, we were sooo excited to get out the door to go visit our grandson several states away, and inadvertently, we left our back door completely unlocked, with just the storm door closed. My husband said he’d go back in to close the door bcuz he had to go to the bathroom before our long drive. He forgot to close it 😬 Don’t you know, the temps dropped from 60’s down into the 30’s for the day and single digits at night and we had 65mph winds for 4 days. When we got our heating bill the next month, our bill was almost $150 more than usually. 🤦♀️The furnace must’ve ran nonstop. 😬 Bet we’ll never forget to lock our doors again 🤪
