healing changed me in ways people didn’t understand.

I used to think becoming quieter meant I was becoming cold.

But honestly, I was just tired.

Tired of overexplaining myself.

Tired of always being emotionally available.

Tired of carrying things nobody could physically see.

Healing made me pull back.

It made me protect my peace more.

It made me realize not everyone deserves unlimited access to me while I’m trying to rebuild myself.

Some seasons of life don’t need an audience.

They just need space, silence, and time 🤎🌙

... Read moreThroughout my healing journey, I realized that withdrawing from constant social interaction or explanations isn't about becoming distant or cold—it's a necessary step toward self-preservation. The exhaustion from being perpetually available emotionally and carrying unseen burdens can be overwhelming, and at times, saying less is a form of protection. I stopped blaming myself for needing distance during the hardest seasons of my life. Instead, I honored my growth by setting boundaries and prioritizing my mental well-being. Healing transformed how I relate to others; not everyone deserves unlimited access to my energy, especially when rebuilding from emotional strain. This process taught me the value of solitude—not loneliness—and the power of silence as a tool to listen to my inner voice. Some phases in life are intensely personal and don’t require an audience. They need space to breathe, time to reset, and permission to be vulnerable without judgment. Protecting my peace became a fundamental part of my path to becoming myself again. It’s important to recognize that personal healing is not linear but a series of seasons where patience and self-compassion guide us through. Understanding this helped me embrace my quieter side as a sign of strength rather than weakness. For anyone on a similar journey, remember that healing is deeply individual. It’s okay to pull back, to say no, and to prioritize your well-being above external expectations. Your growth is valid, even when it's unseen by others.
