First, reminding myself that I did my best today—whether it was in work, family, or self-care—brings a sense of completion and satisfaction. It’s important to honor your efforts, no matter how small they seem. Second, pushing that a bit further by affirming I gave my very best, not just effort but wholehearted dedication, helps silence the inner critic. It allows me to release perfectionism and accept that doing my very best is enough. Finally, trusting that a higher power is working behind the scenes, caring for the outcomes I cannot control, gives me profound peace. In my own experience, surrendering worries and burdens to God has alleviated stress and fostered restful sleep. The idea of releasing every worry and choosing to trust that "He's got you" reinforces faith-centered calmness before drifting off. Incorporating a brief prayer or meditation that thanks God for the day's journey and asks for peace overnight can also deepen this restful state. This practice is supported by many spiritual traditions that emphasize faith before sleep as a powerful grounding ritual. If you struggle to rest, try this approach tonight: write down or repeat these three reasons aloud and then close your eyes with a calm heart.
