Summer photo dump 🫶🏾
back with another post after being sick and having a semi horrible depressive mental state for roughly a week or two 🥰
1. I thought my outfit was SO cute. Everything was thrifted and I love the special appearance my pimple patch is making on my cheek.
2. & 3. I thrifted a sony alpha (FOR TWENTY DOLLARS OKAY) and i’ve been taking test shots at different times and I thought these two came out really good. I’ve been going through creative block bad so it was nice to take these two pictures.
4. My love is still gone but he sent me this with a letter and when i’m telling you I was crying for a good 15 minutes. I miss my man so much 😭.
5. i’m a lover of angel numbers and 444 has been FOLLOWING MEEEEEEEE. Always nice to know im divinely protected though. ✨
6. my new ring >>>>>> handmade sterling silver panther with an opal stone. found at a flea market and i’ve been gagged ever since.
7. getting back into drawing and I was proud of myself with how these came out. 🫶🏾
I hope everyone’s September is starting off beautifully! #PhotoDump #Lemon8Diary #photography #Lemon8 #recentwins
You might have seen the trend 'photo dump' or 'summer dump' popping up on your feed, and if you're wondering what it's all about, you're in the right place! Essentially, a photo dump is a collection of recent, often uncurated, photos and videos from your camera roll. It's less about perfect aesthetics and more about sharing a slice of your real life – the good, the messy, and everything in between. Think of it as a digital diary, an authentic way to recap your moments without the pressure of a perfectly themed feed. Why create a photo dump? For me, it's a fantastic way to celebrate the little victories and acknowledge the journey. After a period of feeling down, pulling together these candid shots, from my thrifted outfits to the beautiful sunset I captured with my new *Sony Alpha*, really helped me see how much good was happening. It's a reminder that even when things are tough, there are pockets of joy to be found. It’s also a wonderful way to connect with others by sharing your genuine experiences. Ready to make your own? Here are a few tips I've picked up for creating a truly authentic and meaningful photo dump: Firstly, embrace the unfiltered. Don't overthink it! Include those raw, everyday moments. Like my picture showing off my pimple patch – it's real life! These are the details that make your dump relatable and uniquely *you*. It’s not about being polished; it’s about being genuine. Secondly, showcase your unique finds and passions. Did you discover an incredible thrifted outfit that makes you feel amazing? Or maybe a stunning piece of jewelry, like my new sterling silver panther ring with an opal stone from a flea market? These personal treasures tell a story. Don't be afraid to include your hobbies too. Getting back into drawing and sharing a detailed pencil drawing of an eye, nose, and mouth, felt really good. Thirdly, capture the big and small moments. From sweeping landscapes, like a serene forest reflection, to intimate details, like pixel art sent by a loved one, every image adds to your narrative. You don't need a fancy camera for every shot; your phone works just as well to capture those spontaneous memories. The goal is to document your experiences, not to achieve photographic perfection. Lastly, reflect on your personal journey and wins. A photo dump is a great space to acknowledge what you're grateful for. For me, seeing angel numbers like 444 Photos popping up everywhere feels like a sign of divine protection. Even a simple handwritten note or a piece of pixel art that says "LOCKED IN SOULMATES" can be a huge source of comfort and joy. These elements truly highlight the 'meaning' behind your personal collection of memories. So next time you're scrolling through your camera roll, consider putting together your very own photo dump. It's a beautiful, honest way to celebrate your life, share your story, and inspire others to do the same!
