Birthdays can be bittersweet, especially after losing someone so dear. This year marked my first birthday without my mother, making the occasion feel different and challenging. It's common to grapple with feelings of loss and grief during such times, as the absence of our loved ones can cast a shadow over celebrations. However, it's essential to remember that focusing on the positive memories created together can provide comfort. Surrounding ourselves with friends and family can help lighten the load of sorrow, as their support becomes vital in confronting these emotional waves. To honor the memory of the departed, consider incorporating their favorite traditions into your celebration. In my case, despite the heartbreak, I found solace in joyful memories, treatments like facials, and the warmth of well-wishing friends and relatives. Engaging in self-care activities, such as a spa day or simply allowing time for rest, can provide much-needed clarity and peace. As I turn 23, I am thankful for another year of life and new opportunities, leaning into the idea that each birthday is a constructive step forward in our journey. Celebrating milestones while grieving doesn't diminish our love for those we've lost; it emphasizes the preciousness of life itself. It reminds us to cherish every moment and create lasting memories in honor of our loved ones.

Sorry for your loss 🥺 She’s always going to be with you ❤️
