I’m pregnant
First baby I’m 12 weeks n 5 days 💯‼️👶🏽April 2025
Confirming your first pregnancy is such an incredible, surreal moment! I remember staring at those four positive pregnancy tests – two strips, two digital – just to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me. It's truly a moment of pure joy and a little bit of 'Is this real?!' wonder. Each positive test felt like a tiny confirmation that our little April 2025 baby was truly on the way. For many of us, especially first-time moms, after seeing that initial positive, we might get curious about progression lines. You know, watching the test line get darker over a few days? It's fascinating to see how your body's HCG levels rise, making that line bolder. While doctors usually say not to rely on them for medical confirmation, for me, it was a little ritual that brought comfort and a visual 'proof' that things were developing. It's a personal journey, and those lines can feel like tiny milestones in themselves. Navigating the first trimester as a first-time pregnant person is a whole adventure. There's so much to learn and experience! From managing morning sickness (or all-day sickness, as it often feels!) to the sudden fatigue that hits you like a truck, your body goes through so many changes. Emotionally, it's a rollercoaster – immense joy, nervous excitement, and sometimes, a sprinkle of anxiety. One of the most magical parts was seeing the ultrasound image for the first time. Our little "BABY" on the screen, just a tiny flutter, gave me chills. It made everything feel so incredibly real and tangible, especially getting that confirmation of our gestational age (12w 1d). As the weeks progress, the anticipation for the baby bump starts to build. For first-time mothers, the bump often doesn't show as early or as prominently as it might for subsequent pregnancies, which can sometimes lead to a bit of impatience! You might just feel a slight hardening or noticing your clothes getting a bit snug around your belly, even before others can see it. Around 20 weeks pregnant, many first-time moms start to see a more defined bump. It’s a beautiful transformation, a visible sign of the life growing within you. I'm already looking forward to that stage, picturing rocking my own little "oh BABY!" onesie on our future arrival. Sharing the news, like setting up our "WE'RE EXPECTING! BABY J APRIL 2025" announcement, is also such a special memory. It's a chance to celebrate with loved ones and let the excitement really sink in. Every step of this journey, from those initial positive tests to imagining our baby's arrival, is a unique and precious experience. I'm embracing every moment and can't wait to see what the next trimesters bring!
