Things that felt “weird” Single & Pregnant
Being single and pregnant came with so many weird moments: going to appointments alone, setting up a registry with no partner, answering the awkward ‘So, is the dad in the picture?’ questions. But weird and all, I refused to let anything steal the joy of my pregnancy.
I wanted my baby to feel loved, wanted, and cherished from the very start. So, I talked to him, played music for him, and celebrated every kick and milestone, just the two of us. I’m so proud I didn’t let anything get in the way of experiencing my pregnancy to the fullest. Single, pregnant, and so deeply in love with my baby. ❤️
Being single and pregnant can evoke a medley of emotions and experiences that are uniquely your own. From the moment you receive the news to the final days awaiting your baby's arrival, the journey is filled with ups and downs. Many single moms share stories about feeling out of place during doctor visits, where couples surround you, and the pangs of envy can quickly slip in. However, many have found strength in embracing this journey solo, realizing that they have a powerful bond with their growing baby. Setting up a nursery without a partner may feel odd, yet it reflects the immense love and dedication you have for your child. Sharing milestones like hearing the heartbeat or watching those first kicks brings profound joy, even amidst the challenges of navigating these experiences alone. Special occasions such as baby showers can stir anxiety regarding perceptions from others, but these moments often transform into celebrations filled with love and support from friends and family. Connecting with other single moms can also provide a vital source of encouragement. Whether online or through local groups, sharing stories and advice can foster a sense of belonging and understanding. Remember, you are not alone on this journey. Your feelings, your experiences, and the love you share for your baby are valid and essential. Embrace the unpredictability of being single and pregnant; it is a testament to your strength and resilience.

I didn’t do it alone.. but I wish I did I would have been so much happier I’m proud of you!!
