A different type of Rejuran 💉 for acne scars

Girlies… I’m sure many acne sufferers know how much courage it takes to share about their skin online but after suffering for > 10 years I’d like to think I’m at peace with my situation ☁️

What I’m left with after all these years are these depressed scars that can’t be covered up with just concealer. The “before” pics are from an angle where strong light hits my face and that’s when the scars are most prominent. Last slide are the diff types of acne scars from Google.

I freckle easily on my whole body, am very fair, so pigmentation also shows up a lot more. I’ve spent not just thousands but tens of thousands $$ on my skin and I’ve visited and consulted AT LEAST 7 doctors and clinics 🥲

My friend had a good experience with this clinic so I gave it a shot! 1 session in and I saw a remarkable difference. Min 3-4 sessions required, cos rejuran takes time to take effect since it regenerates the skin and collagen production. (I still love my other derm but that’s gonna be solely reserved for lasers for my hyperpigmentation - another post on that)

I waited a year before posting this so I conclude whether I’d recommend it 👇🏻

💰 Price: $800-900 per session @Eeva Medical Aesthetic Clinic [Raffles Place MRT]

🧐 Results: a year later on, I don’t recommend it unless ur willing to go through this once every quarter and drop this amount of $$$ 🥲 the results aren’t long lasting and require maintenance

💉Subcision pain level: 5/10, more discomfort than pain

💉Rejuran pain level: 4/10 imo less uncomfy since they’re not scraping underneath my skin 😖 vs subcision

... Read moreHaving tried multiple treatments and consulted several dermatologists over the years, I found that combining subcision with Rejuran S was a unique approach that helped improve the texture of my depressed acne scars. Subcision involves gently breaking the fibrotic strands beneath the scar to allow better skin lifting, and following that with Rejuran S injections promotes collagen regeneration. From personal experience, the discomfort during subcision was higher than with Rejuran, which felt more like a mild sting. One thing to note is that because Rejuran works by stimulating skin healing and collagen production, results take time and require consistency. I found that spacing sessions quarterly was necessary to maintain improvement, although the financial commitment can be significant. Additionally, because I freckle easily and have fair skin, pigmentation issues sometimes became more apparent, so I combined my Rejuran sessions with laser treatments targeting hyperpigmentation. For anyone considering this treatment, it’s important to set realistic expectations. Rejuran isn’t a one-time fix; maintenance is key. Also, understanding your scar type—whether rolling, boxcar, or ice pick scars—can help tailor your treatment plan. I invite others who face similar challenges to research and consult professionals, as well as share their journeys, to navigate this complex skin issue compassionately and effectively.
