Whether I’m brewing potions, unpacking boxes, farming with friends, or running a slightly questionable cult 👀 — these are the games keeping me warm this season. UNBOX THE ROOM

Quick personal take: So this one’s fresh on my playlist: you’re basically helping clients move in and arranging all their stuff in their new rooms. I felt like a furniture fairy, popping in an accent chair here, tucking a little cat into a box there, rearranging things until something just clicked. It’s soothing. Though I will say — it’s short-term sweet; once you’ve unpacked all the boxes, you might look for more.

Verdict: Good for a cozy evening when you want something low-stress, creative, and cute. Might not have ultra deep replay value yet, but it hits the right vibes.

POTION CRAFT: ALCHEMIST SIMULATOR

Quick personal take: Okay, imagine running a cute little medieval potion shop, grinding roots and stirring cauldrons while you’re also somehow trying to keep weird town folk happy. That’s this game. I’m chatting with customers like, “Yes sir your healing draught is done!” and then wondering if I should add one more mysterious ingredient just because. It’s charming, chill, and a tiny bit chaotic in the best way.

Verdict: If you’re in the mood for something relaxing but still with a gameplay loop that keeps you curious (“what if I try this weird root?”), this is a gem.

PALIA

Quick personal take: This one’s more of a longer-term hang. It’s a “cozy MMO life sim” where you build a home, explore, craft, gather, hang out with buddies (online) — basically your chill fantasy of a laid-back game world. I’m loving the parts where I decorate my space, fish, collect things, interact with quirky NPCs. The “battle” is minimal, the “relax” is max. That said, if you grind too hard you might notice some friction (progression feels a bit slow sometimes).

Verdict: If you’re into building, exploring, designing your own space and world, and don’t mind a slower pace, Palia is a really nice pick. Especially when you just wanna unwind.

CULT OF THE LAMB

Quick personal take: Oooookay this one is wild in a delightful way. Picture: you’re a lamb, you’ve been “chosen,” you build a cult, slay heretics, build your commune, all wrapped in this adorable-looking art style with some creepy undercurrents. It’s equal parts cozy (cute lamb, cute followers) and chaotic (rituals, dungeons, weird stuff). I had fun switching from cuddly décor mode to dungeon crawling.

Verdict: This is the “spice it up” game in my list. If you like games that surprise you and mix things up, this delivers. If you’re purely after mellow, maybe go lighter.

🎮 FINAL THOUGHTS💭

•I’m going full cozy-mode this fall: slow loops, design, build, relax, maybe some light thrill.

•Potion Craft and Unbox the Room are shorter, tighter experiences — good for evenings or when you don’t have 5 hours to sink into something.

•Palia and Cult of the Lamb are deeper — one super chill, the other quirky/edgy — good for “rainy Sunday” or “weekend game-time” sessions.

•Prices & deals vary a lot, so it’s worth checking your platform’s store for sales (especially for Potion Craft & Cult of the Lamb).

•I personally love having 2-3 games in rotation: something relaxing + something more engaging — makes the “fall game mood” feel balanced.
