Beyond the popular tourist spots, I loved diving into Caymanian culture. The local food scene is incredible – fresh seafood, conch fritters, and traditional heavy cake were just some of my favorites. Chatting with locals, I found everyone to be so friendly and proud of their heritage. They shared stories, music, and a genuine warmth that made the trip even more special. Understanding what this beautiful island country is all about, beyond the resorts, really enriched my visit. For anyone planning their own Cayman Islands holiday or vacation, I'd say definitely bring reef-safe sunscreen, a good snorkel mask, and an open mind for adventure!
