My Favorite Countries After Visiting 30!
30 before 30! This was a goal of mine for a long time and now it’s my goal to never be older than the number of countries I’ve visited! This keeps me exploring new places and always chasing the next adventure. Here are some of my favs so far:
Philippines - I’ve been to the Philippines 5 times and I don’t plan on stopping now! Home to the most underrated gems and adventures, the Philippines continues to surprise me with each visit. I’d say it’s a bonus that the Filipino people are the nicest you’ll ever meet, but it’s more than that. They MAKE your trip.
Guatemala - volcano views anyone?! I didnt experience volcano views until I visited Guatemala and now I’m obsessed! The best part is that they are visible everywhere. Whether you’re visiting Lake Atitlan or in the city of Antigua, a volcano is most definitely in sight! So cool.
Switzerland - sweet sweet Switzerland! I will never stop visiting Switzerland either! The mountain and lake views are unmatched and leave me speechless each time. It truly feels like you’re in a movie!

If you've typed 'I've never been to the Philippines' into Google, you're in for a treat! As someone who's explored 30 countries and keeps coming back to the Philippines (I’ve been 5 times!), I totally get that first-time jitters. But let me tell you, it's one of the most welcoming and beautiful places you could ever choose for your next adventure. My love for the Philippines goes beyond postcard-perfect beaches, though you'll find plenty of those! Imagine stepping onto a wooden pier, hand-in-hand with someone you love, overlooking crystal-clear turquoise water with traditional boats gently bobbing, all framed by majestic limestone cliffs. That's the magic of places like El Nido or Coron in Palawan. If you’re looking for adventure, think island hopping to secret lagoons, snorkeling through vibrant coral reefs, or even chasing waterfalls in the mountains. What truly sets the Philippines apart, and why it's such an incredible destination for first-timers, is its people. Filipinos are genuinely some of the nicest, most hospitable individuals you'll ever meet. They don't just tolerate tourists; they embrace you, often going out of their way to make you feel at home. This warm welcome makes navigating a new country so much easier and more enjoyable. Plus, English is widely spoken, which is a huge bonus for travelers! For a first trip, I'd highly recommend starting with a mix of iconic spots and some slightly less-traveled gems. Palawan is a must for its stunning natural beauty – those limestone cliffs and pristine waters are truly unforgettable. But don't overlook Cebu for its marine life encounters or Bohol for its unique Chocolate Hills and tarsiers. Even Manila, though bustling, offers a rich history in Intramuros and incredible food experiences. When planning your trip, consider visiting during the dry season (November to May) for the best weather, perfect for enjoying those clear turquoise waters and sunny island days. Getting around can involve a mix of domestic flights, ferries, and local transport like tricycles or jeepneys, which all add to the adventure. Embrace the local cuisine – from fresh seafood to classic adobo and sinigang, your taste buds are in for a delight! Don't let the thought of never having been to the Philippines hold you back. It’s an easy country to fall in love with, offering a blend of breathtaking natural beauty, thrilling adventures, and a culture that will touch your heart. Start planning your first unforgettable journey; you won't regret it!
