I never heard about this colorful town!
One of my favorite things about South and Central America is the colorful buildings and I haven’t seen anywhere else with such vibrant colors. Who would have thought that I would find just that in Italy! Burano is SUCH a hidden gem! It was for me at least! When I tell you I was smiling from ear to ear the moment we stepped off the water taxi! This colorful town rivals that of Central/South America and it was such an unexpected treat. Burano is a tiny island just 30 minutes away from the better known Venice and it is very worth the trip. My favorite thing to do is just walk around and enjoy the colors! It’s crazy how much the vibrancy can lift up any mood.
Burano, known for its picturesque charm, is one of the most colorful destinations in Italy. Located just 30 minutes from Venice by water taxi, it is often overshadowed by the more famous Cinque Terre. However, it offers a unique experience with its vibrant houses and superb mosaics, making it an Instagrammer's paradise. As you stroll through its narrow canals, painted houses reflect in the water, creating a stunning backdrop for any traveler. Burano is also renowned for its lace-making tradition, which is worth exploring while enjoying local cuisine. The serene atmosphere and lively colors can lift anyone's spirits, making every walk a joyful experience. If you're planning a trip to Italy, be sure to include Burano on your itinerary; it promises an enchanting escape from the bustling crowds of Venice. Don't miss out on experiencing this kaleidoscopic gem!
