- See the famous landmarks late at night/early in the morning! I’m talking like 2-4am. There are almost no crowds and you can really soak in these monuments for what they are. It’s a completely different experience at night than during the day.
- Don’t go during the summer! Summer is hot and so unbelievably crowded, it honestly ruins the experience. My suggestion is to go during fall.
- Eat eat eat! You can diet at home! The ingredients in Europe are so much healthier for you than they are in the U.S., so you won’t be too full or bloated.

You can really take your time, capture stunning photos without anyone in the background, and simply marvel at its grandeur. For me, standing there, I really felt like I was stepping back in time, almost expecting to see gladiators emerge from the shadows. And for those dreaming of a romantic start to the day, the Trevi Fountain at dawn is an absolute must-do for couples. Yes, my tip was to go early, but I can’t stress enough how enchanting it is as the sun just begins to peek over the rooftops. The water glitters, the marble statues seem to come alive, and with fewer people around, you and your partner can truly share a special, intimate moment. Toss your coin in, make a wish together, and just enjoy the serene beauty. It’s a completely different vibe than the bustling daytime scene, perfect for creating lasting memories. And let's not forget the culinary delights! Beyond the famous pasta and pizza, you absolutely must explore the local trattorias. I still dream about a plate of fresh pasta with lobster I had, a true indulgence. And don't shy away from trying the local street food – a slice of authentic Roman pizza is a revelation! The ingredients here are so fresh, so full of flavor, you really can eat your way through the city without an ounce of guilt. It's an experience for all your senses, making Rome not just a destination, but a feeling.
