🤍 My Story:
Believe it or not, this was my first time ever dancing in public. A few months ago, at a family member’s wedding, I finally gathered the self-confidence to enjoy myself and do something I love—dance. It took me 33 years to realize that I’d never actually danced in front of people. My constant fear of judgment and the urge to people-please had always stopped me from enjoying music freely. But after months of therapy and spending time with God, I’ve learned how to quiet my mind and live in the moment.
🤍 How I Felt:
Freeing. Exhilarating. It felt like I was the only person on the dance floor. I know that might sound like an exaggeration, but in that moment, I was truly able to enjoy my family and the joy around me without worrying about the “what ifs.” (What if I look silly? What if people think I can’t dance? What if… what if… what if…)
🤍 My Takeaways:
Living life to its fullest potential isn’t just about the big achievements. Sometimes, it’s as simple as moving your feet to the rhythm of a good song.
