#lemon8challenge #lemon8badgehunt #lunch #lunchideas #blt
This was so delicious! Here’s how I made it -
1. Add mayo to both sides of sour dough bread ( toast each side on stove top in pan)
2. Add cheese if you would like
3. Add rotisserie chicken
4. Add bacon , lettuce and tomato
Super easy and delicious
One of the best parts about making a sourdough chicken BLT is its versatility and the rich flavors that come together with simple ingredients. Using sourdough bread adds a slightly tangy taste and a sturdy texture that holds up well to the juicy fillings without becoming soggy. Toasting the bread on the stovetop with mayo not only adds moisture but also creates a golden, crispy crust that enhances the sandwich's overall texture. In my experience, using rotisserie chicken saves a lot of time and adds a depth of flavor that complements the traditional BLT elements. For those who love cheese, a slice of sharp cheddar or provolone melted on the toasted bread adds richness, but it’s entirely optional depending on your preference. Fresh, crisp lettuce and ripe tomatoes provide the perfect freshness and balance the protein and fat from the chicken and bacon. For an extra kick, you could spread a little Dijon mustard or mix some herbs into the mayo. If you want to make this meal even more wholesome, adding avocado slices or pickles is a nice touch. This sandwich not only makes a satisfying lunch but also a great option for a quick dinner or picnic meal. It’s a crowd-pleaser that comes together in under 15 minutes, making it ideal for busy days or casual gatherings. Give it a try and tweak the ingredients to your liking—it’s hard to go wrong with this classic twist on the BLT!
