Sonic and Eggman

I've always been fascinated by the dynamic between Sonic the Hedgehog and Dr. Eggman. There have been times when Sonic and Eggman have had to begrudgingly team up against a greater threat. Remember when a bigger, badder villain emerges, threatening both Sonic's world and Eggman's potential empire? In those rare instances, they've formed temporary alliances. It's never out of genuine affection, but rather a pragmatic decision to deal with a common enemy. Afterwards, it's usually back to business as usual, with Eggman plotting and Sonic thwarting. It's almost like they have a strange, unspoken understanding of their roles. What makes their relationship so captivating is this underlying familiarity. They know each other inside out. Eggman often builds his machines specifically to counter Sonic's speed, and Sonic can almost predict Eggman's next move. What caught my eye was that he was holding a tiny Dr. Eggman, who, in his signature red coat and goggles, was looking through binoculars from a grey vehicle.
