私も実際に豊島美術館を訪れた経験がありますが、ここは本当に知る人ぞ知る隠れた名所だと感じました。コンクリートで形成された『母型』は、一見無機質に見えますが、天井の2つの大きな開口部から自然光や風が入り込むことで、その空間はまるで自然と一体化しているような不思議な感覚を味わえます。内部は撮影禁止なので写真には残せませんが、訪れた人々が口を揃えて感動するのも頷けます。柱がなくなめらかな曲線だけで構成された内部空間は、まさに建築とアートの融合。訪れた日も静かな空気に包まれ、聞こえるのは周囲の自然の声だけで、どこか神聖な雰囲気さえ感じました。 また、展示のほかにあるカフェでは地元の食材を 活かしたメニューが楽しめ、ショップでは美術館オリジナルのグッズも販売。訪問の余韻をゆったり楽しめる場所です。アクセスは家浦港からのシャトルバス利用が便利で、電動自転車での移動もおすすめ。徒歩15分の唐櫃港からのルートも自然を満喫しながら向かえます。営業時間は季節で変動するので事前にチェックをお忘れなく。 豊島美術館は単なる美術館ではなく、自然との調和や空間の体験そのものを楽しむ場所。都心の美術館とは異なる独自の魅力を持っています。香川旅行の際にはぜひ足を運んで、普段味わえない静謐で神秘的なアート空間を体感してみてください。
