Kendall Jenner inspired Pilates core workout

Kendall is my core goals! If you’re looking to flatten and tone your core and have a stomach like Kendall, then do this workout. This is an intermediate, at home Pilates-based routine that you can do from anywhere. ⬇️

1. Leg pull front

Start in a plank position. Lift and lower one leg at time. Repeat for 8 reps per leg.

2. Bear crawl holds

Hover your knees two inches off the mat. Hold for 30 seconds per set.

3. Reverse table top marches

Start in a reverse table top. Crunch one knee at a time, switching after every rep. Repeat for a total of 20 reps.

4. Leg pulls

Get into a reverse plank. Lift and lower one leg at a time. Repeat for a total of 16 reps.

Go through this sequence 2-3 times for the best results! Make sure to have your lower abs pulled in and up the entire time to work the correct muscle group.

... Read moreOkay, so we all admire Kendall Jenner's incredible physique, especially that toned core! When I first stumbled upon her Pilates-inspired workouts, I was skeptical if I could get similar results at home without fancy equipment or a reformer. But let me tell you, this routine has been a game-changer for me! What I love about Pilates, and what I think makes a huge difference for achieving that 'Kendall core,' is its focus on deep core engagement and controlled movements. It's not just about crunches; it's about strengthening those deeper abdominal muscles, often referred to as your 'powerhouse.' This is key for a flat belly and good posture, not just aesthetics. One of the best things about this specific routine is how accessible it is. You really don't need much! A good yoga mat is a must for comfort and grip. I even started using pink ankle weights (just like the ones you might see in workout photos online!) to add an extra challenge to my leg lifts, and it really amplifies the burn. If you're looking to elevate your home setup, consider a small resistance band for other exercises, but for this core work, your body weight and a mat are perfect. Let's dive a little deeper into these core-sculpting moves: Leg Pull Front: This one is a fantastic full-body stabilizer, but the magic is in keeping your core super engaged. Don't let your hips sag when you lift your leg. Imagine someone could balance a glass of water on your lower back – that's the stability you're aiming for. It really sculpts the front of your body. Bear Crawl Holds: Phew, these are tougher than they look! The key here is to keep your knees just hovering, not resting. It's an isometric hold that lights up your entire core. I focus on drawing my belly button towards my spine to really activate those deep transverse abdominals. Reverse Table Top Marches: This exercise is amazing for both core and glute activation. When you crunch your knee in, think about pulling it with your lower abs. And remember to keep your hips lifted high throughout the movement. It’s a great way to target those often-neglected lower abdominal muscles. Leg Pulls (Reverse Plank): This variation builds on the first leg pull. It demands a lot from your glutes and hamstrings, but your core is working overtime to stabilize your pelvis. It reminds me a bit of the stability needed for a 'single leg bridge at home' type of movement, where you're working against gravity to maintain alignment. Focus on controlled lowering of the leg. While this Pilates routine is incredible for building a strong, toned core, remember that consistency is key. I try to incorporate it 3-4 times a week. Pairing it with a balanced diet and staying hydrated really helps to see those definition results – helping you feel confident whether you're in a bikini or not! And no, you don't need a fancy 'bode bag' or reformer to start; just dedication and your mat! Give this routine a try and see how amazing your core feels! It's a journey, but with these focused Pilates movements, you'll be well on your way to a stronger, more sculpted midsection. Let me know if you try it!
