30 DAY SQUAT CHALLENGE🍑

Who’s joining me for this 30 day squat challenge?! Go from 10 squats on day 1 to 150 squats by day 30! Every day we add 5 more squats to keep challenging our muscles.

Tips✨

-once the squats start to get over 30 reps, break them down into multiple sets! Example: 50 rep day broke down into two sets of 25 reps

-make it harder by adding a weight or a band

-habit stack, complete your squats while your normally do other things. For example, if you’re watching Netflix or on your phone complete some squats

-keep track everyday of your squats

-challenge yourself! By day 20 this will be challenging but keep pushing until you’re finished

... Read moreHey everyone! I'm so excited you're considering joining this 30-day squat challenge with me. It’s more than just counting reps; it's about building a consistent habit and seeing real changes. From my own journey, I’ve learned a few things that can really help you maximize your results and keep you motivated, especially as the numbers start climbing! First off, let's talk about proper squat form. This is HUGE, especially for beginners. When I first started, I was just trying to get the reps in, but I quickly realized that bad form can lead to no results, or worse, injury. Here’s what I focus on: Feet shoulder-width apart: Toes can point slightly out. Chest up, shoulders back: Imagine there’s a string pulling your chest towards the ceiling. Engage your core: This protects your back and helps with stability. Lower down like you’re sitting in a chair: Your hips go back and down. Aim for at least parallel thighs to the floor, if not deeper, but only if your mobility allows without rounding your back. Knees track over your toes: Don’t let them cave inward. Push through your heels to stand up: Really squeeze those glutes at the top! I often do a quick mirror check or even record myself for the first few days to ensure my form is correct. It makes a massive difference in targeting your glutes and preventing knee strain. Another thing that really helps me stay on track, especially when the reps get high, is breaking down sets – just like the article mentions! On day 20, when you're hitting 100+ squats, doing them all at once can feel impossible. My strategy is to take short breaks. For example, if it's a 100-squat day, I might do 4 sets of 25. Or, if I'm feeling strong, 2 sets of 50. Listening to your body is key. And remember, adding a weighted vest or holding a dumbbell (as the OCR image suggests!) can make those lower rep days more effective, or make higher rep days more challenging if you're feeling too comfortable. For that desired transformation and 'before and after' effect, it's not just about the squats. Hydration and a balanced diet play a significant role in muscle recovery and overall results. I also love to track my progress visually. I took a 'before' picture at the start of my first challenge, and trust me, having that visual comparison at the end of 30 days is incredibly motivating! You don't have to share it, but seeing your own progress can be a huge confidence booster. Some people also take measurements of their glutes and thighs. The 'detailed 30-day squat challenge calendar' (as the OCR notes) is also perfect for marking off each day and visually seeing your journey – it’s a small win daily! And finally, what happens after the 30 days? This challenge is an amazing springboard. Once you're done, you've built incredible consistency and strength. You can then try different squat variations (like sumo squats, jump squats, or pistol squats) to keep challenging your muscles, or integrate squats into a broader workout routine. The goal is long-term fitness, and this challenge is a fantastic way to kickstart it. Let's push through together and achieve those amazing results!
