My favorite moves in Pilates for your deep core
In my opinion the best way to train your deep core muscles is through Pilates. There are many different Pilates exercises you can do, but these 4 are my favorite.
1. Reverse table top crunches
hold a reverse table top position and bring your feet close together. Bring one knee in at the time towards your chest and use your core muscles to do so. Switch sides.
2. Single leg bridge
This requires way more deep core contraction and stabilization than a tradition bridge. Focus on pulling your belly button tight into your spine and keeping your pelvis leveled.
3. Single leg lift
Drop one leg at a time to a hover off your mat. Keep your low back against the mat the entire time. Repeat which leg drops every other rep.
4. Leg lifts
Hold your legs together and hover your legs off the mat. Keep your back pressed against the mat and only lower your legs as low as you keep your back against the mat.
