"New Earth"

Deuteronomy 29:29

“The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Is this a foreshadowing of the Holy Spirit?

From a new earth perspective "secret things" changes our view, the things we'd not thought of, or things we once thought impossible, we are given profound understanding, we discover new realities, we accept them and are able to avoid frustration.

The Apostle Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 13—that we now "see dimly" but then will "know fully"—are realized. On the new earth, many truths that were once hidden will become clear.

The new earth is a restoration of creation to its perfect state, what was "secret" will be unveiled. We will be given the capacity to see and understand the mysteries of God's creation, from the smallest atom to the farthest reaches of the universe.

As God continues to reveal more of his multifaceted character, our newfound understanding will only serve to deepen our worship. In fact, the unending journey of discovery becomes a form of worship in itself!

On the new earth, we will no longer question why certain events unfolded in history, such as the suffering and evil of the present age because we'll understand it. Instead, we will see how all of God's hidden purposes worked toward the final restoration of all things.

The wonder and humility regarding God's knowledge, with the promise that many of the "secret things" will finally be revealed.

While on earth we are called to be obedient to what God has disclosed, the new earth provides a context of full revelation, where all of creation is restored to its original, perfect state.

Heavenly Father, I know there's love hidden in Your mysteries. I know the plans you have are wonderfully hidden for a reason. Who am I to question Your intentions? Your promises are written in Your word! Let me not lose sight of my purpose here and now, because I'm focused on what's yet to be... God grant me Wisdom if not Revelation, quench my hope with Your happiness, nothing can compare to the day I see Your face! In Jesus's name, Amen 🙏

... Read moreThe concept of the New Earth is deeply rooted in biblical prophecy and spiritual hope, providing a transformative perspective on the mysteries of God’s creation. As referenced in 1 Corinthians 2:9, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the human mind conceived," captures the essence of the divine wonders that await believers. This verse highlights the incomprehensible blessings and visions prepared by God, which align closely with the theme of "secret things" mentioned in Deuteronomy 29:29. In the New Earth, the limitations of our current understanding will be removed. The Apostle Paul's metaphor of seeing "dimly" but later knowing "fully" underscores the gradual revelation that takes place when humanity transitions from its present state to the restored creation. This transformation involves not only a physical restoration but also a profound spiritual enlightenment where the mysteries of God’s multifaceted character become accessible and beautifully clear. What’s compelling about this vision is that the New Earth serves as a revelation space where all hidden purposes of past sufferings and trials will be understood. The presence of evil, pain, and suffering, which puzzle and challenge believers today, will be reinterpreted within the context of God's overarching restoration plan. This understanding alleviates frustration and replaces it with peace, joy, and worship—because worship becomes a continuous journey of discovery rather than mere ritual. Moreover, this revelation extends to an appreciation of the entire cosmos—from the tiniest atom to the vast universe—showing how every part of creation reflects God's wisdom and intent. The unveiling of secret things means gaining insight into the divine design and intricate workings of all that exists. Such knowledge will not diminish wonder but will evoke greater humility and admiration for God's infinite wisdom. In practical spiritual terms, this hope encourages believers to remain obedient and faithful in the present life, trusting that even what seems hidden now has a purpose aligned with God's promises. Prayers for wisdom, understanding, and fulfillment, even amidst uncertainty, reflect a heart aligned with divine will and hopeful expectancy for the day of full revelation. Thus, the New Earth is more than a future event; it is an invitation to live with faith and hope now, embracing the revealed truths and trusting in the love that permeates God’s hidden purposes. It calls for spiritual readiness and an eagerness to see beyond our current limitations into the extraordinary clarity and joy that await.
