"Gone Fishin'

Luke 5:1

"On one occasion, while the crowd was pressing in on him to hear the word of God, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret

Aka, the sea of Galilee... you don't suppose it was a coincidence that this place was a centralized place for people to gather? Many times Jesus met the masses He was at this location. People doing things that people do, naturally in their own environments.

Everytime Jesus came here He was "Fishing for Men!" It's where He caught Peter, James, Andrew and John so it must have been quite the fishing hole! Ordinary people, doing ordinary things.

When we made an agreement with God we told him we agreed to be "Fishers of Men."

So to be thorough and not miss a catch we must remain fishing. Wherever we go, whatever we do, we should be looking for the next best fishing hole.

Father I feel like an old fisherman! Help me soften my rough edges so I can fish more effectively.

Give me 'Jesus like courage', 'Jesus like discernment', 'Jesus like knowledge' and 'Jesus like wisdom' when it comes to casting my net.

Then remind me that there are no size or quantity limits, and help me fill my nets as well.

You are the Master Fisherman and I want to be like You... In Your name I pray, Amen.
