"Man, you HARD"
Ezekiel 36:26
"Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh."
This is one of my favorite verses, the promise of a new heart...
"As a youth getting by in some of life's most difficult moments you had to be strong, willing to stare threat's in the eye and convince them that you were as hard as a rock...
"Man, you HARD" they used to say...
Stone cold, and emotionless in the presence of harm and danger. It's what we taught ourselves to survive.
Survival instinct doesn't have to be learned in a jungle in some faraway land or in war, survival instinct may have to be learned just to walk into the front yard... You are looked up to when your heart is made of stone. You are left alone and not mistreated when your heart is Icy cold.
There is only one thing that can turn your heart back to flesh, and with the prick of the Holy Spirit, Jesus can melt what it took a lifetime to develop!
Heavenly Father, thank you for breaking generational traditions. Thank you for showing me what a heart was meant to feel like. I pray that every brother and sister within earshot of this message Father, that you draw them closer and dare them to step inside! Stones weren't made to be shells for our hearts, the flesh we were born with was! Jesus, You are the Pysician who specializes in hearts. In your name I pray, Amen.
