"Nothing Compares"
1 Samuel 5:2
"Then the Philistines took the ark of God and brought it into the house of Dagon and set it up beside Dagon."
And when the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the Lord. So they took Dagon and put him back in his place.
By putting the sacred chest next to the idol, the Philistines intended to demonstrate that the God of Israel had been defeated in battle, just as they believed their god had defeated other deities.
Nothing compares to Our God...
Nothing is worthy of standing up next to Our God...
Nothing that can be conceived by mankind can compare to Our God...
It's way to easy to be lured in by the "Shiny Things" that the world has to offer! All God's in somebody's life somewhere.
In a dying world we have about 80 years to figure out that there's another home we belong to. Every single day this should be on our minds that we should tell others that this home belongs to them too!
Father, thank you for once again giving me a message that will inspire others to find you for themselves and pass the news along! Thank you for the work You're doing in my life and in the lives closest to me. Jesus thank you for making a Way where none existed, I honor and praise Your Holy Name, Amen.
