"on earth as in heaven"
Good morning VOD 🕊
1 Timothy 4:12
"Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity."
Timothy was a young man with a huge assignment. He was tasked with bringing God's word to the masses. Jump starting Christianity would be like putting social normalities on their head. But that's how the upside-down Kingdom had begun and change would be inevitable.
But then the wheels of time keep turning and what was once loud and clear slowly becomes a distant memory...
Today we're progressively screaming "Change change what we is need change!" That's been the mantra of the last few generations... and we say "wisdom comes with age." 🤔
Proverbs 9:10: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."
Finding the Way early in life is rare.
Also rare is the person who lives to be old that has never had an opportunity to hear the gospel. Rarest are the ones who knocked and lived to be old and dissatisfied...
Teach your children to fear God early. Then the wisdom they learn won't have to be from the school of hard knocks...
Think of the societal change that would happen if everyone would be able to embrace this thought.
If the echoes of "change" faded into the background, and our souls found their anchor.
For Timothy, youth wasn't a barrier but a platform to embody the Kingdom's upside-down logic—a radical demonstration of love, faith, and purity that defied expectations.
We, too, are called to that same standard, not by demanding change from the outside in, but by letting God's wisdom rewire us from the inside out.
When fear of the Lord becomes our compass, and a pure heart our guide, the "hard knocks" of life would be less about stumbling and more about stepping up.
A generation raised on this principle wouldn't just seek change; they would be the change, living examples of an eternal truth, transforming society not with shouts, but with, godly lives.
That quiet shift, rooted in early faith, would be the most profound revolution of all, a legacy that truly would last.
Matthew 6:10
"Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven"
"Today, ask God to reveal one area where you can be an example in purity..."
"Father we pray that You, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, our glorious Father, may give us and our children the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that we may know You better." Amen.
