"Unending Kingdom"
Isaiah 9:6-7
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Before the foundations of the world were laid, before time had a name, I AM. From the depths of eternity, He has been the Everlasting Father, holding the blueprint of existence in a love that knows no beginning and no end.
In the fullness of time, the Silence spoke. He sent forth His Eternal Word to be woven into the fabric of humanity. Behold, to the world, a Child is born; to the weary, a Son is given.
He did not come with the thunder of a conqueror, but with the soft breath of an infant—yet upon those tiny, fragile shoulders, the government of all creation rests.
He is His Father’s heart made visible—the Mighty God walking in the dust. He is the Wonderful Counselor who whispers wisdom to the broken and the Prince of Peace who silences the storms of the soul.
As the Prince of Peace, He takes the throne of David not to crush, but to heal, establishing a kingdom where justice and righteousness flow like a river that will never run dry.
Through Him, God walks among us. He is Immanuel, the God who stays, the King whose reign increases with every heart that finds rest in His light. His passion has done this; His relentless love has ensured that this peace will have no end.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, Wonderful Counselor, and Mighty God, I thank You that You did not come to crush, but to heal. As the Prince of Peace, rule in my heart today. Take the government of my life upon Your shoulders and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard my soul. Amen.
