I DISDAIN GLITTER
Things I love: ✔️ Happy customers ✔️ Pretty bows
Things I don't love: ❌ Loose glitter. 😅
Maybe I should think twice when a customer offers to ship their preferred ribbon, directly to me! This ribbon came with a generous dusting of sparkle, so the bow-making operation was relocated outside. Problem solved! 😂
As someone who loves crafting beautiful bows but dislikes dealing with loose glitter, I've learned some handy tricks to keep my workspace clean and my projects sparkling without the mess. When customers send in ribbons covered in glitter, I relocate my bow-making operations outside. This simple change dramatically reduces the spread of glitter indoors, keeping my tools and surfaces clean. Glitter can often be a challenge because it tends to scatter everywhere, sticking to hands and clothes, making cleanup tedious. But by choosing an outdoor or well-ventilated crafting space, glitter particles can fall away easily without contaminating my crafting area or other supplies. If moving outside isn't feasible, I recommend using drop cloths or large trays to catch stray glitter and having cleaning wipes or a handheld vacuum nearby. Another tip is to handle the glitter ribbons gently and keep them in sealed containers when not in use to minimize unnecessary exposure to loose glitter. Ultimately, happy customers and neat craft areas go hand in hand. My experience shows that a little extra effort in managing glittery materials results in better final products, more enjoyment in creating, and less frustration during cleanup.
