I record all the content, just to never post it

I just know I can’t be the only one who records all of the things but never edits the content to post. 🥴 I have SO many videos I’ve recorded with the intention of posting the content and it never happens. I want to get better at that so bad. What’s the point of recording all the things if no one is going to see it?

Don’t be like me. Smh

... Read moreI totally relate to the struggle of recording so many videos but never actually posting them. For me, it often comes down to perfectionism and the pressure of making every video flawless before sharing it. One thing that helped break that cycle was setting small, achievable goals—like editing just one short clip or sharing a behind-the-scenes reel without overthinking it. Another technique I found useful is scheduling time just to edit and post content, turning it into a non-negotiable habit rather than something that feels optional. Using reminders or calendar alerts can keep you accountable. Also, focusing on the value your content can bring to others—such as inspiring fellow sewing enthusiasts or offering creative tips—reminds me that something is always better than nothing, and imperfect content still matters. On a practical note, having a simple editing workflow and template can speed things up. For example, when I record sewing videos, I keep a consistent intro and outro format so I don’t have to reinvent the wheel each time. This makes posting less daunting and more manageable. Finally, it’s essential to silence that inner critic. Even video content recorded on a Brother sewing machine, as I often mention, might not be cinematic perfection, but it reflects authenticity. Sharing your journey, including the messy or unfinished parts, can build a genuine connection with your audience. So don’t let your hard work go unseen—post the content and let your creativity shine!
