... Read moreHey fellow Animal Crossing islanders! I absolutely love seeing everyone's creative campsite designs, and sharing mine always brings me so much joy. The campsite in ACNH is such a special spot – it’s where new villagers first arrive, and it really sets the tone for your island’s inviting atmosphere. While my recent makeover focused on a cozy, natural vibe, I’ve picked up so many tips and tricks that I wanted to share to help you create your dream campsite, no matter your style! One of the biggest game-changers for any campsite is thinking about a theme. Do you want a rustic woodland retreat, a lively festival ground, or a chic glamping experience? Once you have a theme in mind, selecting items becomes so much easier. For my recent design, I leaned into a natural, slightly rustic feel, which is why items like the Clay furnace and Wild log bench were perfect additions. The clay furnace, especially, gives off such a warm, authentic camping feel, and it’s a relatively easy DIY to get! The wild log bench is incredibly versatile – great for seating around a campfire or just as a decorative element. Don't forget the details! Path designs can dramatically change the feel of your campsite. I often use custom dirt paths or stone paths to create a defined area, making it feel more intentional. You can find incredible custom path codes online, or simply use the built-in dirt path for a natural look. Layering different path types, like a stone border around a dirt square, can add depth. Let’s talk about some must-have items. The Campsite sign is a classic for a reason – it’s often one of the first things you get with Nook Miles and instantly signals that this is the spot. I love placing it right at the entrance. For a truly immersive experience, you absolutely need some Campfire cookware. Whether it’s bubbling over a real campfire or just a decorative piece, it makes the area feel lived-in and ready for s’mores! And for those little touches, don't underestimate plants. A Schefflera or a Paradise Planning planter can bring so much life and color to an otherwise earthy space. I also love using small items like the Bunny garden decoration or a Clothesline to add personality and a touch of whimsy. Even a simple Wooden mini table can hold a coffee cup or a book, making the space feel more functional. Have you thought about how the villager tent integrates into your design? Since a new villager's tent will pop up randomly, I always try to leave a flexible, appealing spot that complements my overall campsite aesthetic. Sometimes, having some open space or a flexible layout can help your design adapt to different tent styles. Ultimately, designing your ACNH campsite is about creating a space you genuinely love. There are so many amazing ACNH campsite design codes out there, and I always encourage checking out what other players are doing for inspiration. Don't be afraid to experiment, move things around, and find what truly sparks joy for you. What are your go-to items for your campsite? I'd love to hear your favorite tips and decorating ideas in the comments below!
